I do all sorts of things. I buy some though not usually this age group of books anymore. I get some from the public library--which is where this one came from. I get some handed to me to write comprehension tests on for school and I borrow others to read from friends.

The age level on this one is 3.9 so just below 4th grade level. You can check a lot of the reading levels at the Renaissance Learning link on the left sidebar. Just go to Store and then Quiz Search under Quiz Store then put in the title you are looking for. If you only know the author, you can also do an author search. It will give you the reading level whether it's geared for low, middle or upper grades and also give you the number of words in the book. I use it a lot when I'm writing tests so I don't have to count the words or create a reading level myself.

This looks like a great book. Do you know if a local library would have it? BTW- Are you buying all your books/ Or borrowing? Just curious.
Also, what is the age group?

Sounds like a movie my dh would like. I'll see if they have it on payperview. I use to watch all Nick Cage movies. I have Face Lift and the one that he suffers from OCC. The name is escaping me now. He is a clean fanatic and con artist..Thanks for the review..

No, not Puff the Magic Dragon. This is Elliott who is a magic dragon but doesn't live by the sea until Pete runs away from his "owners" and is taken in by a lighthouse keeper and his daughter. It stars Shelly Winters as the bad "owner" of Pete who's trying to get him back, Mickey Rooney as the lighthouse keeper and Helen Reddy as his daughter. Good music and storyline but tiring after the thousandth showing.

OH MY! When I read this the first time I had no idea what the movie was..but, now seeing the picture..I know the one..I just hadn't recalled the name. This was at our local drive in a while back...I remember seeing the billboard. I think my dh wanted to take the girls..I am not even sure if they did see it. I hope not! ;-(

We just got Cars from my SIL for Christmas... and it is a very long 116 minutes to sit through each day. My son just loves it. I don't recall Petes Dragon though unless it is a newer version of Puff the Magic Dragon?

Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. It depends on the age of the book. Many of the books I read are old enough that no one has a cover picture mainly because there wasn't one when it was published. Tawny would be one that wouldn't have a picture of the cover because it was a plain brown cover.

I'll add the picture to this one though.
